Membership Levels

Members will receive our weekly message, be entitled to a 5% discount on all iask events, receive an iask, Inc. member pin, access to the Members Only section of our website, use of the Sister's Blog, access to our micro-loan services and our quarterly health/wellness forums/newsletters, unity pledge card for wallet. Entitled to join regional/local Buddy Groups. Cost: $35.00 per year.

Members will receive our weekly message; have access to our website Members Only section, access to exclusive iask, Inc. secure intranet for networking, job postings, and information. Receive corporate discounts on such partnerships as Curves Membership, receive a 10% discount on all iask, Inc. events, exclusive and confidential access to our own Counseling services (counseling services for mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, psychological/relational needs), receive iask, Inc. Lapel pin, access to our iask, Inc. micro-loan fund, unity pledge card for wallet. Entitled to join regional/local Buddy Groups. Cost: $45.00 per year.

Officers, Advisors(including men's advisory council), BOD Directors: Requires an annual assessment per person of $100.00, with full access to all iask benefits at the Platinum Level plus additional discounts, perks, etc. as available.

Committee Chairpersons: $45 per year (benefits of Gold level)

President's Club: This level of giving is for those individuals and corporations that want to support the mission of iask, Inc.'s corporate body (which encompasses our membership and benevolence committee) at the $100 or above annual level. This donation is tax deductible as "membership dues" in an organization. Please contact Sophia Nelson directly if you wish to secure membership at a level beyond $125.00 annually or if your corporation would like to be a part of our "Protect & Respect Women of Color" campaign the fee is $200 annually.

Undergraduate/Graduate Student membership level: $10.00 annually and will be recognized at the Sister level. Each member will receive a membership card (which will have on the back of each card the sister's unity pledge), and a special gift from iask, Inc.

Teen/Senior(65+) Membership level: Free

Membership in iask, Inc.

iask is an organization that was started out of necessity to fill a critical void in the lives of Professional Black Women. When you join iask, Inc. not only will you be helping to reposition yourself toward a journey of service, sisterhood, and success, but you will also be helping hundreds and thousands of women nationally and in your respective communities & social networks who are in great need of our individual and collective support as an organization.

Our members hail from all across the United States with varied backgrounds and life experiences. We have men and women of all races, colors, and creeds who are committed to our mission. Our collective interest is in focusing on the often neglected emotional and spiritual healing of professional black women as a group. Our goal is to help black women to learn to take better care of themselves emotionally, physically, financially, relationally, and spiritually.

The simple truth is that while many black women are flourishing in our careers, many of us lack joy and peace in our personal lives; we are over stressed, over worked and worn out physically by all of life's demands. The core requirement for membership is that you be have a college degree or higher or that you desire to obtain one. You also must sign our unity pledge. The unity pledge says that we as "sisters" commit to treat our fellow sisters with genuine respect, kindness, and civility and we will hold you to that promise. Our leadership and members are truly invested in creating a place for women that is rooted in friendship, forgiveness, love, and support. There are no perfect people, and at iask we don't expect you to be, because we are not.

In fact, our goal is to embrace the imperfect, love the unlovable, and to help women reach their full potential by focusing on taking care of themselves first.

Your financial membership in iask, Inc. will help us to successfully grow a non-profit business, 501(c)(3) that will publish, promote, and provide much needed products, services, and charitable activities to thousands of professional black women and young girls nationwide.

The money we receive from your membership goes directly toward your membership intake costs, our very active benevolence & member’s committees, our peer to peer sister buddy group program, and community activities such as Breast Cancer Awareness, Mental Health Awareness, Health Awareness, Homelessness, and Domestic Violence & Abuse. We are intently focused on offering cutting edge programs to mentor and uplift young professional women as well as offer confidential mental health & counseling service programs/events/workshops for our members.

Since our founding in 2004, we have helped and directly assisted hundreds of women, men and their families with financial support, prayer, strategic counsel, encouragement in the form of calls, one-on-one visits, cards, care packages, flowers, etc. We also make sure that when our members have serious diseases like Cancer or lose loved ones that we send cards, make calls, take food, send flowers, or offer small financial gifts to charities that are often set-up by the families of the deceased. We have also consistently contributed to the welfare and maintenance of our nation's Troops serving in Iraq through the USO, and other anonymous gestures to families in need. With your membership we can do much more.
