About iask, Inc.

Founded in January 2004, IASK, Inc. is now a registered US Trademark, (in its original form) and is in the process of being registered under our new logo-motto and mark with the US Patent & Trademark Office. IASK, Inc. (formerly I Am My Sister’s Keeper, Inc.) hosted our first "sister gathering" in May of 2004 of about 25 women at our founder’s home in Ashburn, Virginia. Our number soon grew to about 60 by December 2004; 250 by the end of 2005, and to over 800 subscribers nationwide. In the summer of 2007, we hit 1300 subscribers to our weekly message from a sister.
Our goal when we started in 2004 was simple: To share our life stories; our struggles; our joys; our losses and our ambitions with other women of faith who would "lift us up" instead of tearing us down. Many of us were simply weary of all we had encountered with other "sisters" and we wanted an organization that was going to truly live up to the mission of sisterhood. Three (3) years down the road, iask, Inc. is a Virginia Corporation, with a desire for more regional offices throughout the United States by January 2009. We gather 3-4 times per year regionally to participate in workshops, forums, fundraising events, and fellowship. We will soon have a 501c3 non-profit arm, The ASK Foundation which will continue to grow our charitable efforts and to help young black women develop into women of character and integrity. In the fall of 2008, iask will host our first annual national conference which will be hosted in Washington, DC. Since that time, we have changed our name officially to iask, Inc. which has grown to over 1300 national subscribers to our weekly message of inspiration and over 250 active dues paying members.
